Day 1: Arrival Chiangmai

Arrival at Chiang Mai International airport, meet and transfer to your hotel. Free on your own.

Day 2: Chiangmai City Tour

The journey northwards begins as we board a flight to Chiang Mai. After checking into hotel we drive west towards the famous Doi Suthep Mountain and embark on a walk leading us to Wat Prathat Temple near the summit. At an elevation of over 1,000 m , the temple grounds affords a panoramic view over the surrounding countryside. We follow this with a visit to the old and new parts of the town featuring the great diversity.

The “Rose of the North”, Chiang Mai has been always noted for exquisite handicrafts whose the combination with the traditional wares of the hill tribe people offers fantastic shopping opportunities. We drive this afternoon to the neighboring villages of Sankampaeng and Borsarng to see the various cottages industries including silk weaving, wood carving, silver ware and umbrellas making.

Day 3: Chiangmai - Elephant Camp - Pai

The exciting adventure begins as we depart the town and drive through the breathtaking mountain landscape to Mae Hong Son. Along the way we make stop over at Mae Sa Elephant training center before we head towards Pai. There is plenty to see in this beautiful area, some of which are the Lisu Hilltribe Village, the Lahu Hilltribe Village. Before arrival Pai visit hot spring at Baan Mae Yen. Arrived in Pai, and after check in to the hotel we will visit Chinese Yunan village at Santichol Village, Optional to ride the bicycle around this small town or Sunset at Baan Din Doi (Lisu Village)

Day 4: Pai - Phu Klone - Mae Hongson

Continue drive to We will travel continue to Fish Cave, where thousands of carps live an undisturbed life. Then continue to Mae Hongson. After check-in to the hotel, visit to Wat Doi Kong Moo Wat Jong Kham and Wat Jong Klang just some of the town's most famous Burmese style monasteries. The first structure was constructed around 200 year ago by the Shan people whilst Wat Jong Klang houses an old glass painting and many wood carvings which depict the various lives of Buddha. Return to Chiang Mai by overland and continue to Mae Rim for overnight.

Day 5: Mae Hongson - Ban Nai Soi - Chiangmai

Start in the early morning to visit the morning market area, where you can buy, apart from the usual household items and foodstuffs, an array of insect food such as crickets, worms and ant eggs. After bereakfast, we will excursion to the Karen hill tribe village of Baan Nai Soi, near by is Padong hilltribe village.

This ethnic group still retains their old age cultural traditions as most of women attempt to have long neck by wearing numerous brass rings around their neck from an early age. We drive to the pier for you to enjoy a long tail boat for a leisurely trip downstream along Pai River which also provides us a taste of the tranquil countryside and an interesting view of rural life close up. We will long drive to Chiang Mai. Check in at hotel and free on your own

Day 6: Chiangmai - Tha Ton - Doi Tung - Chiang Rai

We drive along winding road to a sleeping town of Tha Ton passing by the breathtaking mountain scenery make for an interesting day. We arrive at Thaton on the banks of Mae Kok River. Visit to Tha ton temple, located on the hill, from here you can see the view over the town. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. We continue drive along the border line to Mae Chan, a short stop for relaxing at hot spring.

We’ll continue drive to visit the Royal Palace and Botanic Garden at Doi Tung, Doi Tung is the site of a major environmental and socio-economic development project initiated by Her Royal Highness Srinakarindra the Princess Mother; mother of His Majesty the King of Thailand. You can spend the time to stroll around at the beautiful gardens. Then continue to Maesai the northern most of Thailand, check in at hotel and free on your own.

Day 7: Measai - Golden Triangle - Chiang Rai

After breakfast, We drive to the Famous Golden Triangle where the border of Thai-Laos and Myanmar meet. Upon arrival we visit the Opium Hall Museum. The museum focuses on opium, opiates, narcotics and drug eradication measures through ‘edutainment’ displays. The first part of the exhibition details the 5000-year history of opium from its first known appearance in early Egypt, through the 19th century’s opium wars, to the 20th century’s production and trafficking in South East Asia.

The second half shows the effects of drugs on the mind and body, describing strategies employed throughout the world to control drugs, international cooperation, and efforts in dealing with drug addiction. Lunch at a local restaurant, then afternoon we drive continue to Chiang Rai, Check in and free for relaxing.

Day 8: Chiang Rai Departure

Today you will be free for shopping or explore the city on your own. Transfer to the airport for your flight to next destination
