Vietnamese hospitality attracts international investors

 This is an opportunity for state management authorities, investors, localities and enterprises to discuss about investment environment in Viet Nam and how to strengthen cooperation in developing Vietnamese hospitality.

The event brought together many key industry players such as Alcatel-Lucent, Baker & McKenzie (Viet Nam), Bespoke Hospitality Management Asia, Bitexco Group, Dynasty Investments, EXO Travel Vietnam, FLC, Gaw Capital, Grant Thornton (Viet Nam), Hoi An South Development Co, InterContinental Hotels Group, Jones Lang LaSalle, MIK Group, STR, Thai Group, Vina Capital, Vinpearl Hotel…

In his speech, Mr. Ha Van Sieu – Deputy Director General of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) emphasized that Viet Nam is a safe, friendly and attractive destination. The Vietnamese Government has released different policies to boost investment, including investment for accommodation, restaurants, resorts and nightlife services. VNAT will propose relevant authorities to facilitate foreign investment for development of entertainment services.

According to Mr. Chua Wee Phong - Executive Vice President of Circulation at Singapore Press Holdings Limited, in comparison with other ASEAN countries, Viet Nam is a politically stable country with fascinating natural landscapes and preferential policies for investment. These favorable factors induce foreign players to invest more in Viet Nam tourism.

Ms. Patricia Cheong – General Manager of Sphere Conferences informed that this event aimed at providing opportunities for investors to meet and cooperate with Vietnamese agencies and enterprises. The visa waiver, aviation expansion, sea tourism development and the emergence of new attractive destinations of Viet Nam are really helpful for tourism development, she said.

At the conference, the participants also discussed Viet Nam’s investment environment and development perspectives, hotel designing and branding, contract negotiation, attracting investment in building and operating golf courses and hospitality complexes…
