Watch the sun cast its rays over the temple at sunset before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Yangon

Day 2: Yangon - Putao

This morning, fly to Putao in Myanmar's north where a short drive takes you to the Malikha Lodge. Perched on the Nam Lang River and overlooking the Himalayan Mountains, this elegant lodge will be your base for the next three nights.

An afternoon ride on an elephant's back will allow you to enjoy the stunning scenery as you pass through rice fields and across small streams.

Day 3: Putao

Spend today exploring the area around Malikha Lodge. With the Himalayan Mountains forming a backdrop, drift down the Malikha River on a gentle rafting trip to a remote gorge where a picnic lunch will be served. Take a short walk through neighboring Manchanbaw village to observe traditional lifestyles of the local people before returning to the lodge for dinner and drinks.

Day 4: Putao

Learn more about the local traditions of the Kachin State and its inhabitants with a visit to the morning market. In this colorful setting you'll have a chance to sample local delicacies and browse for handicrafts alongside the locals. This afternoon is free at your leisure- several soft adventure activities are available or relax with a massage at the lodge or a soak in your teak bathtub.
Overnight at Malikha Lodge, Putao.

Day 5: Putao - Yangon

After a final leisurely breakfast at Malikha Lodge, check out and transfer to Putao Airport for the domestic flight to Yangon. There is time this afternoon for more sightseeing or shopping in the city.

Day 6: Depart Yangon

Depending on your flight time, we suggest taking a ride on Yangon's unique circular train.
